Outside of my creative work, I’m a devoted mom to my three-year-old son. When I’m not
designing or shooting, you’ll likely find me in a bookstore searching for my next read or
Planning my next road trip.

STATEMENT
I am a Graphic Designer driven by clarity, intention, and visual restraint. My work centers on the belief that design is not a decoration but communication. Every typeface, color palette, and image choice must serve a purpose. I approach each project as a visual problem to be solved, balancing aesthetics with strategy to create outcomes that are both functional and meaningful. My design philosophy is rooted in minimalism. I am drawn to clean compositions, controlled typography, and thoughtful negative space. Rather than overwhelming the viewer, I aim to guide the eye with precision. I believe simplicity requires discipline; reducing a concept to its most essential elements often demands more critical thinking than adding visual complexity. Through careful editing and refinement, I strive to create work that feels timeless rather than trend-driven.
Typography plays a central role in my practice. I see type not only as a tool for readability but as a voice with emotional and conceptual weight. For example, the choice between a geometric Sans-serif and a humanist serif can completely shift the tone of a message. I pay attention to hierarchy, spacing, rhythm, and alignment to ensure that content is both accessible and engaging. Strong typographic systems allow a brand or message to communicate clearly across different platforms. Color is another critical component of my work. I use color strategically to evoke mood, reinforce identity, and direct attention. I am particularly interested in restrained palettes that create harmony and sophistication. By limiting visual noise, I allow core elements to stand out and maintain cohesion across print and digital applications.
My background and experiences influence my perspective as a designer. Being shaped by a diverse cultural visual environment and my photographic practice has made me attentive to context and audience. I design with awareness, understanding that visual communication carries social and ethical responsibility. Inclusive language, representation, and accessibility are considerations I integrate into every stage of my process. Design should not exclude; it should invite participation and understanding.
Process is fundamental to my work. I begin with research, understanding the client, audience, and objectives before sketching a single idea. From there, I move into conceptual development, exploring multiple directions before refining the strongest solution. Feedback and iteration are essential steps. I see criticism as a collaboration between designer and client that strengthens the result.
Each project involves dialogue between concept form and function. Ultimately, my goal as a graphic designer is to create work that communicates with clarity and integrity. I want my designs to feel intentional, confident, and purposeful. Whether developing a brand identity, designing editorial layouts, or crafting digital experiences, I strive to produce visuals that resonate beyond the surface. For me, Graphic Design is a discipline of thoughtful decision-making where creativity meets structure, and where visual form carries meaning.
